 on streets of Riga on July 11 (24),
 1901. It replaced the “horse tram
 opened in autumn 1882.
 There were in Riga 11 Trolley-lines
 at 1 Januar 2007.

 on the training line between the
 Gaisa-Bridge and Brassa RR Station.
 Regular trackless trolley service
 started on November 4, 1947 on the
 line between Viestura Garden and
 Gertrudes Street.

at 1 Januar 2007.

Trackless trolley trains in Riga 

 The first bus lumbered along the
 streets of Riga already in 1913 but
 before World War I they didn’t play
 the dominant part of transportation in
 Riga.
 A historical parent of the bus was a
  horse omnibus that made its first trip
 in 1852.
